Much to my surprise the old ’80s 318ci engine out of the ’73 Dart had a roller cam installed.
Somehow I never got to see this during the 2 to 4-bbl intake swap I did some years ago.
This explains nicely why the engine liked to 0w20 synthetic oil I have fed it for the last year or 2.
The engine hasn’t been taken apart further yet but I suspect there is a highvolume oil pump installed as well by some previous owner.
0W20 ??? 😮
